I had to backtrack on an area (just not ready for it).. having my head ripped off or posioned really fucking does ya head in lol.

Demons souls is easy compared to this game haha.

because DS was very good, but become a little too easy.
And when it was me and you we could run through a level in minutes.

Atleast with this one, it will add more of a challenge and last longer.

Ill be on this Sunday, I take it to get the stone to help people and that its going to take some time to gather

I backtracked to the start place before bed last night, even though I suspect I was where I was supposed to be. I just wanted to look around the start because I don't have the ability to write (or evaluate) messages, or repair weapons...

I did find the miracle convenant bloke (man you have to pester him to get the goods!) and I found a sweet stash of chests, one of which had a stack of 3 or 4 PvP tokens

The trouble was, the only way out dropped my into a graveyard full of bastard hard skeletons. And when I tried to run away, I ran into more...

That's where I died.

That's when I went to bed...

I haven't found any merchants yet, but apparently I should have since I've been to 3 different areas (not including the tutorial).

So where do these fuckers hide cos I've been hoarding my last 10 arrows for ages and I do all right damage with my bow (going DEX first up)?

I had problems noticing them in Demon's Souls, especially in the swamp and lava pit area of 2-2, so it's quite possible I've run straight over one and not noticed

it depends where u are...

ALOT are hidden behind boxes or stairs which are just in a blind spot in your character view most of the time.
In undead berg at the bonfire will be some guys who throw firebombs at you, if u turn right there then kill arrow guy and the sword bloke, you'll also see some guys with spears, kill these and smash the boxes to reveal some stairs.. thats a merchant for soapstone (messages) arrows and some good early armour.

I am trying to farm 20,000 souls right now to buy a key for a locked door in the forest area, it is a massive shortcut and i need it to be open because i have to keep back tracking...

If u tell me where u are we could try co-op if u have some humanity (because i have none) i could help u in your world and i could gain some humanity for killing a boss at some point..

I'm on the ps3 so message me there... could meet u at the top of elevators perhaps on the firelink shrine (behind the miracle guy) to the right. (or on the dragon bridge underneath near the rat area)

ps. i got lucky and joined a covenant which summons u a bit liek old monk from demons souls style.

killed the guy n netted 900k+ souls! woot woot.
leveled up to 65 i think now

Sounds like a plan, but I'm only level 16 I think. I was spawning at that bonfire last night so I think I know where you mean. Is it the one in that 90 minute video I posted? It's not far from the dragon on the bridge where you can get the dragon to kill the guys and get 300 souls...

I killed a black night guarding an item not far from there as well (and got a chunk off him). Then died about 10 times trying to kill some bastard at the bottom of a fat, round tower (where you go up to kill a minotaur-like boss thing on the ramparts) who one hit killed me with a weird looking cleaver thing.

But I'll be on soon and I want rank up some, so if you spend souls on stuff other than levels, I might be able to catch up. I'm fairly good at keeping humanity, mainly cos I never spend it, although I lost 2 the other day cos a fucking rat pushed me off the side. I have 2 or 3 in items as well.

EDIT: ah - well I won't be catching you any time soon then. I only get a couple of hours a day

getting pure raped atm, got to the section with the large black tower knight. managed to kill him then the annoying sorcerer bloke after one of the red eye knights.....with his epic amount of little minions

headed up to the boss section at the top with the gargoyles and got my ass handed to me. think i might give that section a miss for the time being, playing as a pyromancer (flame thrower bloke) atm. In all fairness ive enjoyed it more than demons atm.

any recommendations on the easiest ways to go?? think im about lvl 11/12 (teens anyways).

just resting at the bonfire down by the blacksmith, got the option to head towards the electric throwing boss and down into the forest section....ran past him first time lol.

or persist with farming until i beat the gargoyle section???

the gargoyles are probably the easiest boss in this game lol.
I'd get them first

Tough game innit, i'm backtracking all over the place, i opened up the main castle gates, so i can go outside now into fuck knows where, all these snake guys spitting at me, getting wrecked i am lol.

The forest at lvl 12 is going to be ultra hard - i'd suggest gargoyles then make your way into undead burg and collect some keys and fight capra then go into the sewers aka "the depths" - you should come out around lvl 20-25.

You are near the place u were playing on the demo at eurogamer actually (with the boor)

This is porbably the most challenging game i have played in the past 10 years.. it's pretty fucking mean really LOL.
Demons souls is no training ground for this game, not even on PBWT.
Just getting pasted...all over the place

yerrr when i ventured down into the forest i managed to kill a few of them tree creatures/ent style things then got pwned by some massive ice creature

really need to level up my stamina, just keep getting raped every time it runs out

got past the eurogamer section/ well were i got up to lol...last night, using the good old tactics of letting the armoured boar run onto the fire pit

haha well as u progress with the pyro into the sewer a tip is once u encounter the 2nd butcher turn left and free the pyro trianer, he can upgrade your fire - helps tonnes.

Attunment is for the amount of slots and intellegence for power of the magics.

Where u seen those ice creatures is also a mini boss - go and look at it, lol!

I'm so crap at this game. Not the combat - I can handle that, but the levels. I guess I'm way too used to having the way spelled out with a big fuckoff arrow, cos I can't find anything in this game and I explore what I thought was thoroughly.

I completely missed the whole section with the blacksmith and the lightning throwing cripple mini-boss. I still haven't found the Maneater mkII... Before I turned it off, I got owned by the Gaping Dragon, so I need to go there and get my humanity and souls back and show the twat who's boss.

I thought I was getting to grips with this game, but then I read the Covenants page on the Wiki. Fuck me - this game is immense! Some real crazy shit in there. The Way of White covenant is good though - I'm in that (as it's the only option I've had) and I've been invaded once in about 30 hours. Needless to say I got owned though - the asshole just spammed spells at me, which is a downside of no mana bar.

The white covenant might be good for us all to join if we want to try co-op as it makes it more likely...

Best £36 I've spent in a long time.

I've joined the gravelord covenant,
Basically i drop a stone and it spawns shit loads of nasty creatures into your world, the only way to get rid of it, is come and kill me in my world MWHAHAHAHAHAHA.

LOL.

As for co-op - we will co-op soon i am still at my same level..70 i think.

I am getting owned in the tomb of giants and i hate it lol.

As for maneaters.. they are right near the church ..

Overall though, i am liking it, but the game is deffo not for the faint hearted, it really is pretty deep stuff to learn, also some of the bosses are good too.
It's a bit of a challenging game - but i'm getting there.. slowly...I've spent 50 hours on it so far according to my gamesave.. in that time on demons souls i'd be into NG+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ lol
