We are all wondering about the meaning of life at some time or another in our lives. Sometimes in exasperation. Like "what's the fucking point?" We've all been there.
So what is the meaning of life? It's actually really really simple.
I was sat in an ambulance yesterday, and instead of worrying about my illness (urine infection and yes I was seriously that poorly I called an ambulance), I pondered the job of the ambulance crew. Their job along with taking me to hospital (they didn't) is to make me better, actually that's the job of the doctors, but for argument sake I'll use this as an example.
You see the universe is in a state of entropy. That is breaking things down until there's nothing left. In a few billion trillion years time, it's theorised that the universe will be empty and dead. There will be so much entropy already and the universe it still expanding, that nothing can interact any longer. Everything is broken down to it's smallest factor. Entropy.
The meaning of life is to stop, reverse or slow down entropy.
The meaning of life is to stop things from going wrong. Think about it, how much of your jobs is correcting mistakes, putting things right, or preventing things from breaking?
You may work in sales, so your job is to pro-actively prevent entropy.
Customer service, to find the mistakes and correct them.
Technicians, engineers, mechanics are here to take a broken thing and make it better. OK engineers are a very different breed, but still the same sort of thing, figure out why it went wrong and make a better version.
That is the meaning of life.
